| The 2007 community Festival mural was designed and painted by Anacortes High School graduate Kate Clark. The bright graphic design was installed on the Department of Safety building at the corner of 12th and Commercial Ave in September. The Department of Safety is an Anacortes music venue, gallery, recording studio and living space for young artists, started in 2002. Clark presented the mural idea to the Festival to showcase this community youth driven organization and create a cross-generational partnership. | |
