Special Steamroller Block Printing Project

The Festival gave a special grant last year for a steamroller block printing project. Coordinators Frank Orr and Candice Vitale oversaw the production of large-scale block prints using a steamroller as the printing process. This exciting demonstration took place in the Experience Art area on Saturday and Sunday. Also a huge thank you to Lake Erie Construction for donating the use of the steamroller.

The Festival is offering a rare opportunity to purchase prints created during its steamroller block printing project at this year's August Festival. There are 2 copies of each print, created by the 9 participating artists. Prints measure 50 x 38 (either vertically or horizontally) and sell for $250. Print #2 can be divided, with each half selling for $150. Proceeds from the sale of the prints will help support the steamroller project for next year's Festival.
