Juror’s statement 2026 for the Art at the Depot | Fine Art Exhibition
"It was a pure delight to serve as the juror for the Anacortes Arts Festival this year! I was impressed by the quality, diversity, and scope of the works submitted, making the final selection no easy task. This year's show will showcase the robust variety of styles and media, and demonstrate the high caliber of work that I have come to expect from the artists working in this region. When reviewing artwork there are a few criteria I like to keep in mind. I am looking for artists who demonstrate a mastery of their craft or media, can articulate a distinct vision and show originality, and am particularly interested in artists who are making thoughtful connections with this place in meaningful ways, and this year's group does not disappoint! "
